Electrochemistry involves chemical phenomena associated with charge separation and charge transfer, with applications ranging from fundamental studies and research to industrial, environmental and clinical applications.
The aim of the International Society of Electrochemistry is to serve the worldwide electrochemical community and that of related disciplines through the advancement of electrochemical science and technology, the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge, and promotion of international cooperation.

ISE Executive Committee - Elections results
Hasuck Kim (Seoul National University, Korea) has been elected President Elect of the Society for the term 2011-2012. He will then serve as President in 2013-2014, and as Past President in 2015-2016.
Sharon Roscoe (Acadia University, Wolfville, Canada) has been elected Secretary General of the Society for the term 2011-2013.
Bernard Tribollet (LISE CNRS, Paris, France) has been elected Treasurer of the Society for the term 2011-2013.
Christian Amatore (Ecole Normale Superieure / CNRS, Paris, France) and Hiroshi Nishihara (University of Tokyo, Japan) have been elected Vice Presidents of the Society for the term 2011-2013.
